So I tried a little bit of self-publishing today with the creation of a photo calendar called “Reflection.” I had originally thought about making it a one-off, but then decided “what the heck” and made it generally available.
The calendar contains my images of London, Paris, Edinburgh, Chicago, Montreal, Ithaca (New York), and Manly (Australia). All photos were taken either a Nikon D200, Panasonic Lumix G1, or Panasonic Lumix GH1. The cover image and a few others in the calendar were taken with DIY tilt-shift lenses.
The Lulu publishing process was pretty easy although if one wanted to make any changes to the keywords/metadata, it triggers a complete restart of the publishing wizard. Each time that happened, Lulu’s wizard messed up my cover page but that was relatively easy to fix. Anyhow, if you’re looking to buy a calendar and don’t know what to get, mine is available through Lulu.
