Discussions around improving the student experience are becoming more common across higher education, which has been an area of focus of my work over the years. Some efforts have been small and targeted whereas others have been large and transformational at scale. In 2016, I and our team from Blackboard worked with George Mason University to redesign its prospect-to-alumnus student experience. Since then, it has made significant strides and turned a comprehensive study into an institution-wide project where students win.
