Six Years at Blackboard

It is hard to believe that I’ve been at Blackboard for six years. I feel like I just walked across the Midway at the University of Chicago for the first time, knee-deep in snow in November 1992 after a lengthy South Shore ride, and dashed off for a box of California rolls at the Booth School of Business cafe in September 2010 before catching an early Metra home.

Over 500,000 flight miles later, my life has changed and my career shift goal has been achieved. I joined Blackboard to learn about education beyond the perspective of a single institution, and Blackboard reciprocated by opening my eyes to the broad spectrum of learning that spans the globe and ranges from kindergarten and higher education to the military and corporate development. Along the way I have helped fantastic clients, worked with amazing individuals, and aided great institutions and organizations from whom I’ve learned new things, expanded my perspective, and grown professionally.

Although quite scary at first to leave university life behind, my Blackboard journey has turned out to be far better than I had imagined.
