Student Success, Societal Risk

As I watch the 2016 collapse of journalism, I am thankful that I didn’t pursue my college career path and found success elsewhere on an uncharted route. However, by some definitions of student success, I am a failure for I didn’t follow the path attached to my degree. If we define success by degree-based job placement, we may find ourselves in a state similar to the Press with little chance to repair the societal damage. Education in a democracy is more than a job, as the Press in a democracy is more than entertainment. http://bit.ly/1Pzny4P
